About Me

Hello! My name is Ashley Blackburn and I grew up in a big Catholic family as the youngest of 8 children. I met my husband in college and we married shortly after I graduated. My husband is a convert to Catholicism and was fully initiated into the Church in 2005. Over the years our family has grown and we have been blessed with 5 children.

Although I grew up Catholic and went to Catholic schools, it wasn’t until the Lord reached out and grabbed me from the dark path I was headed down and stirred in my heart the gift of Fear of the Lord, that I actually took my first intentional step toward God. My journey since then has been one that has been leading me into the fullness of the faith, which has brought about tremendous healing and freedom from within. If there is one thing in my life that I have learned that has completely changed my perspective and brought me so much peace, it is the realization that the Steadfast Heart of God pursued me first. I was completely and utterly unworthy of God’s mercy and love, but He pursued me anyway and He did not give up on me.

I invite you to come along with me as I venture out in full trust and obedience to the Lord in starting this blog. I hope to be able to inspire you by sharing some of the stories from my own journey of faith, as well as share with you many of the insights that the Holy Spirit whispers to me through prayer and in my reading of Sacred Scripture.
